-How to do BAMS Course- 

If you want to become an Ayurvedic doctor, then you have to do BAMS course. BAMS means Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery. BAMS is a Bachelor’s degree. BAMS course is 5 years and 6 months duration which includes 1-year internship.  

This course is done after 12th class and can be done by science stream students who have PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). To do this course, you should have at least 50% marks in 12th Class. To take admission in BAMS course, an entrance exam has to be given and admission is done on the basis of rank and some universities also conduct an interview for the admission.  

-BAMS course Fee- 

BAMS course depends on the colleges. Government and Private colleges fees are different. Government colleges fees are less in comparison to private colleges. So, the fee structure fully depends on the colleges.   

Average fees of BAMS course between INR 20,000 to INR 2 lakh.  

-Eligibility Criteria for BAMS Course- 

If you want to take admission in BAMS course, so you have to accomplish all of this eligibility.  

  • You have to passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English. 
  • You have to pass 12th class with at least 50% marks. 
  • Your minimum age should be 17 years old.  
  • For admission in BAMS course, you have to give the Entrance Exam: 

            (A) NEET Exam (All India level exam

            (B) CGET (State level exam) 

            (C) IPU (State level exam)  

            (D) CET (State level exam) 

            (E) KEAM (State level exam) 

-Admission Process-

  1. Admission in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery is done on the basis of Entrance exam. 
  2. In India, one has to clear NEET entrance exam to take admission in medical course or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery. 
  3. After clearing NEET exam, the admission of the candidates is done on the rank basis. 
  4. Some universities also conduct interviews for admission.

BAMS scope is too wide. After completing this course, you can work in different areas like open dispensaries, product manager, and many more. You can pursue Ph.D. too after completing a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery.
